The Birthday Number

The Birthday Number is another numerological parameter that is derived from the date of birth. There are four parameters that are considered to be the most important in any numerological profile, and you already know two of them: the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number.

First, let's have a look at how the Birthday Number is calculated. Nothing could be simpler. Just take the number of the day of the month when the person was born and keep adding its digits together until you have a single digit. Here are a few examples.

Date of birth: March 1, 1980. Birthday Number: 1.

Date of birth: February 24, 1955. Birthday Number: 2 + 4 = 6.

Easy, right? Now how do we interpret this number?

The Difference between the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number

We now have two numbers for every person we know: the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number. Occasionally, that number can be the same number in both cases, but such occasions are rare. If it is the same number, we can simply interpret that as meaning there is more of the same kind of energy, or quality, in this specific person. But what do we do when the numbers are different?

It is important to understand that different numerological parameters (and you will see quite a number of them in these lessons) describe either different aspects of the same person, or, as it is the case with Life Path Number and Birthday Number, different numerological parameters provide a different zoom factor. I like to phrase this as: they give a description in a different scale.

The Life Path Number shows us the task of a person's whole life. It's like a bird's-eye view of that person's life. On the other hand, the Birthday number is like a close-up view. It shows what kind of approach the person uses to solve problems with regard to his or her Life Path Number. In other words, it describes the person's gait when he or she is walking the Life Path. Are they walking purposefully, like a businessman, or do they lope freely, or trail along at snail's pace?

Alternatively, you can think of the Life Path Number as a general direction while the Birthday Number is a specific route, or road, or trail, or maybe even a virgin field where the person walks day-by-day to follow that general direction of their Life Path.

So which of these numbers do you think are more noticeable in everyday life? If you said the Birthday Number, you're absolutely right. This is one of the easiest numbers to use when learning and understanding numerological parameters. With very little effort, you can find out something clearly visible and obvious about a person and his or her attitude towards life.

If we take these two numbers together and think about how they interact, we will wind up with a much more meaningful, two-dimensional image of the person. The key to understanding the combined interpretation of the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number is this: to follow one's numerological code, a person should do what their Birthday Number indicates while moving towards the goal shown by their Life Path Number.

Interpreting the Birthday Number

As usual with interpretations, I tried to be careful and not to give descriptions that are too detailed. From my point of view, overly detailed interpretations have little practical value. They don't stimulate the student's own thinking, but offer themselves as something ultimate and ready to use. Instead, a student needs to understand that any interpretation is necessarily subjective and based on someone's personal experience. As different people's life experiences differ, their interpretations should also be different.

Therefore, rather than detailed interpretations, I will try to give you some ideas and concepts that are designed to direct you in your own studies, as a help in accumulating your own experience and understanding. Practical numerology should always be based on one's own experience. It was Pythagoras who taught that we should cognize the numbers personally and in practice, rather than take them as some fixed idea.

When interpreting the Birthday Number, we'll make some finer distinctions between specific days of the month when the person was born. For example, the Birthday Number One will belong to those who were born on the 1st day of a month, but also to those who were born on the 10th day, and on the 19th, and on the 28th. In each of these cases, the initial numeric code will be different and that will make a subtle difference in Birthday Number interpretation.

Since the Birthday Number makes more sense when interpreted together with the Life Path Number, I will offer you a few ideas on how interpret them together, rather than pure Birthday Number interpretations alone.

Birthday Number One

If the person was born on the 1st day of any month

Here we have Number One by itself. These people tend to be independent and autonomous, and prefer their own original approach in everything they do. They like to start things, to make the first step in a new direction. They aren't that interested in other people's opinions, and prefer not to go into details, approaching everything at large and leaving finer details and nuances to someone else. They like everything new and unusual, and prefer to do everything quickly, in one go.

If the person was born on the 10th day of any month

The qualities of Number One are additionally emphasized and clearly noticeable. In addition to everything that was said for people born on the 1st of a month, there is an emphasized tendency towards leadership, a strong desire for independence, and a clearly perceivable ambition. There can also be an exaggerated originality in order to not be like the others.

If the person was born on the 19th day of any month

The theme of Number One is in the forefront, however, there is also an influence of Number Nine that lends a width of interests and desire for support from others. Maybe it is exactly in this case that leadership abilities reach the highest expression, as there is also an underlying ability to listen to other people, guide them and lead them. All the qualities of Number One are present here, but they are more open towards other people and are used for their sakes.

On the other hand, 19 is one of the Karmic Numbers, and so these people might be burdened with problems that don't seem to be caused by their own personal qualities. One of the possible karmic manifestations here is self-aggrandizement, neglect of others, but also possible rejection of outside help and self-isolation in the circle of personal problems.

A couple of examples for this specific version of Birthday Number One include Bill Clinton (August 19, 1946) and Nicolaus Copernicus (February 19, 1473).

If the person was born on the 28th day of any month

In this case, the qualities of Number One are modified by Numbers Two and Eight, and one of the possible results is that the person may desire independence not only for themselves but also for their partner. Autonomy and originality are not considered important in and of themselves, but rather as a means of achieving some large-scale practical goals. Initiative is combined in this case with the ability to continue something that was started while the bird's-eye view of the world is combined with the ability to take care of details. Quite often, such persons can be interested in one or another form of art.

One example of someone who has this Birthday Number variety is Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (August 28, 1749).

Combination of Birthday Number One with Different Life Path Numbers

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number One

The natural abilities of these people resonate very well with their long-term goals. They march ahead bravely and decisively, having no doubts in their correctness and clearly seeing the goal. They are self-sufficient, and others’ intervention in their business is seen as an annoyance, at the best of times. Those who have Number One twice can create miracles and reach the unreachable thanks to their ability to concentrate in one direction.

An example of such a combination of numbers is Blaise Pascal (June 19, 1623).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Two

The global aim of these people is partnership, equilibrium, and harmony. However, to achieve the desired, they must always remain themselves, rely on themselves, and act as a kind of axis for balancing numerous conditions and compromises. Number One in this combination gives the ability to take the first step, to give one's shoulder to another person to lean on, to find an unusual exit from a dead-end situation. This is a great combination of numbers for a diplomat or a politician.

One example for such a combination is Bill Clinton (August 19, 1946).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Three

With this combination, the large-scale goal is creativity, and Number One emphasizes the significance of the creative person. This combination might belong to an actor who remains himself in every role he plays. It is also typical for any creative endeavor where the people have the ability to show themselves brightly, to demonstrate their personal virtues and satisfy their ambitions. In any case, there is a concentrated, extraordinary creative potential that seeks an opportunity to be expressed.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (August 28, 1749) is one example of this combination, and another is Indira Gandhi (November 19, 1917).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Four

These people take on difficult tasks and prefer to deal with them on their own, without support from anybody. Or perhaps the case is not that they prefer no outside help, but find that there aren't many people who are ready to help them, since the modus operandi of Number Ones is to do everything alone, in isolation. Ideally, people with this combination of numbers are able to take complex tasks (Number 4) and make them simple (Number 1), they get inspired by ideas (Number 1) and implement them, creating some complex multilayered structures (Number 4), either intellectual or real. On the other hand, there can be a tendency to make mountains (4) out of molehills (1).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Five

These people acknowledge the limitless diversity of the surrounding world, but at the same time they try to explain it with a single idea, a unifying principle, in order to keep their point of view constant, as if allowing the world to rotate around their personal center of gravity. These people are universal; they can find common language with any group and often take on the roles of team leaders while still remaining themselves and not changing to accommodate others.

One such person is the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann (April 10, 1755).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Six

Depending on the scale of their interests, people with such a combination of numbers can be actively interested in relationships between people in society in general, or in some specific groups, or inside the family. Very often, these people have strong ideas about how everything should be arranged and organized, and they keep comparing whatever is happening in reality with those ideas. Quite often, Number Six is associated with some kind of art, and in that case, the combination of One and Six might mean innovative, distinct, bright style, and a lack of desire to follow others.

An example of a famous person having such a combination of numbers is Giuseppe Verdi (October 10, 1813).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Seven

Under the influence of Life Path Number Seven, Birthday Number One people strive to penetrate the mysteries of Creation, or the details of complex intricate problems. At the same time, having Birthday Number One, these people don’t need any helpers or advisors; they tend to choose their unique paths and unique approaches to their problems. Also, Number One adds practicality to an otherwise purely theoretical interest, and as a result, the desire to unveil a mystery turns into a desire to get some practical benefit from the theoretical knowledge.

One of the celebrities with this combination of numbers is Jean-Baptiste Lamarck (August 1, 1744).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Eight

This is an excellent combination of numbers for a leader or a manager: the general ability and desire to coordinate some large-scale practical activity is supported by self-confidence and the ability to rely only on one's own energy and resources. In some cases, the exaggerated qualities of Number One can lead towards dictatorship tendencies, neglecting the interests of the others, and insisting that one's point of view is the only one that is possible and correct. On the other hand, the qualities of this combination of numbers are indispensable at times of crisis, because these people become the only reliable support for many others.

One very good example here is Boris Yeltsin (February 1, 1931).

Birthday Number One, Life Path Number Nine

Potentially, this is a very fruitful combination of numbers. However, the distance between One and Nine is so significant that it might well be very difficult to make use of its potential in real life. Number Nine gives idealism, global interests, and love to utopic ideas, while Number One opposes all this understanding of one's own exclusivity and uniqueness. Results can differ widely, from presenting oneself as a Messiah and the savior of the world, to following extravagant cults without the possibility of demonstrating one's originality in any other way, to even a scientist striving to explain the whole of Creation with a single simple idea. In most cases, however, the combination of Nine and One generates a significant creative potential.

One example of a person who had this combination of numbers is Nicolaus Copernicus (February 19, 1473).

Birthday Number Two

If the person was born on the 2nd day of any month

In his or her approach to life, this person tends to keep equilibrium in everything, to take into account different opinions, and not to neglect a large number of various details. Mutual understanding with partners is important for Number Two, as well as a possibility, if necessary, to rely on someone, to refer to someone else's authority. This person is usually polite, diplomatic and prefers to play by the rules. Number Two people play a lot of attention to their appearance and to the impression they make on the other people.

Britney Spears (December 2, 1981) has such a Birthday Number.

If the person was born on the 11th day of any month

Two Ones in the numeric code of this day oppose quite strongly the nature of Number Two making the person less interested in partnership, more self-reliant and self-sufficient. On the other hand, because of Number One's ability to concentrate, sensitivity to fine details can reach here very high levels, even to the degree when the person becomes aware of the invisible, spiritual side of the world. Interest in esoteric subjects is quite possible with this Birthday Number.

Number Eleven is a so called Master Number and so can give a person born on this day unusual abilities, very strong intuition and powerful influence on other people. He or she might find it difficult to express their understanding in words, so will prefer music, painting or other "speachless" forms of art.

If the person was born on the 20th day of any month

Here the principle of harmony, which is essential for Number Two, becomes important for the social life of the person, and therefore it is even more noticeable than in the case of those born on the 2nd day of any month. These people often choose a profession or a hobby somehow connected to interpersonal relationships, diplomacy, or art. No matter what they deal with, their approach is very thorough, with plenty of attention to details, and so any work usually takes lots of time. An acute sense of justice is typical for those born on the 20th day, as well as responsiveness and diplomacy.

An example of a person with this Birthday Number is Sviatoslav Richter (March 20, 1915).

If the person was born on the 29th day of any month

The influence of Number Nine brings the person's interests and abilities to a higher vibrational level - they become more global, idealistic, theoretical. Theory of music, history, other cultures or global economy can be important for such a person.

On the other hand, since 29 sums up to the Master Number 11, there can be a strong ability to influence other people and an outstanding intuition, sometimes reaching the level of clairvoyance.

Combination of Birthday Number Two with Different Life Path Numbers

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number One

This person was born to play the role of a pioneer, initiator, but in order to manage this role successfully he or she needs someone else - a partner, an advisor, a good friend, someone on whose shoulder this person could lean. People with this numeric code often become the initiators of various beginnings, connected to relationships between people, attitude towards people, justice and equality. They bring an understanding of harmony , beauty, necessity of compromise into social groups where such ideas aren't normally considered.

A typical example of such combination of numbers is Mikhail Gorbachev (March 2, 1931).

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Two

This is Number Two squared! In those cases when the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number are the same, the person generally more or less understands his or her purpose and chooses an appropriate profession or business. In the case of Number Two, the person most of all capable to manifest the qualities of this number: sensitivity, artistry, attention to small details, diplomacy, readiness for a compromise, cooperation and partnership.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Three

The purpose of this person's life - creativity, but following this path he or she should pay a lot of attention to small details and to keeping balance and harmony. As a result, an important place in the life of such person is often given to creative endeavors that require a lot of efforts or are difficult otherwise - the examples could be music, dance or painting. Number Two is strongly associated with those kinds of creativity that not simply provide an outlet for self-expression but also strongly oriented towards making an impression on someone - a spectator or a listener.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Four

This combination of numbers is well suited for jewellers and creators of various miniatures. It has in it plenty of hard, difficult work, persistence and patience, but at the same time deep understanding of beauty and attention to every tiny detail. This person is able, if he or she wants so, to understand the most complex structure, no matter if it is about a technical device or a human soul, and to make a correction if something goes wrong. Whatever he or she does, can serve and function properly for a very long time.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Five

Number Five suggests multiplicity and width of interests while Number Two adds details... Hmm, it might be easy to lose one's way in a huge number of details offered by this combination of numbers! One needs to have a powerful mind capable of analysis, comparison and mutual coordination of multiple contradicting factors. This kind of people are invaluable when managing logistics of a large enterprise - but some of them prefer to create mind-bogging theories in science. There can be, however, some very different cases where Number Two amplifies artistic or musical abilities of the person. If this happens, he or she will want to try as many life experiences as possible and then express them using their creative talent.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Six

This combination of numbers is an alloy of harmony and creativity. Number Six gives interest towards other people's lives in different scales - a family, society, state - while Number Two focuses attention on partnerships and inter-personal relationships, nuances of mutual understanding, justice and cooperation. These qualities can be important for a psychologist or a social worker. Additionally, both numbers are related to art, so the person with this numeric code knows well what to do in order to be liked by the other people, to make a beneficial impression on them.

A couple of examples here: Honoré de Balzac (May 20, 1799) and Britney Spears (December 2, 1981).

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Seven

This is a very introvert combination of numbers. The Path of Seven is a research, penetration behind the veil of mystery, solving a puzzle, while Number Two adds love to details. Such a person tends to be consumed by work and not very interested by whatever is going on in the surrounding world. Because of such a combination of qualities, finding a celebrity with this numeric code might prove to be problematic, but in the principle such numbers could belong to a very strong analyst, detective or scientist.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Eight

The talents of Number Eight are in managing people and money, and in organisation of complex projects, but Number Two doesn't like to be in the foreground. So when it person does the management, it is usually from behind the scenes, in the role of an aide, advisor, or maybe a CFO rather than CEO. It was also noticed that the combination of numbers Two and Eight can often be found in the numeric code of composers and musicians. This is understandable since music can be complex and multi-faceted, and in many cases there is a background interaction with the other people.

Birthday Number Two, Life Path Number Nine

The modesty of Number Two doesn't match very naturally with the global interests and generosity of Number Nine. Such a combination can often be found in the numeric code of people who play the role of a partner, an aide or a spouse of some celebrity. If someone else was born to make happy or save the whole world, then the person with Birthday Number Two following the Life Path of Nine will make sure that the Messiah has rnough money for a decent suit and is not starving.

Birthday Number Three

If the person was born on the 3rd day of any month

This person approaches everything in his or her life in a creative, non-standard way, prefers to do something that he or she likes, something that brings inspiration, and typically performs much worse in a routine environment with rules and red tape. People born on the 3rd day can express their thoughts in a convincing and interesting way, but they are also able to listen, and know how to entertain other people. At the same time, they shun discipline and responsibility. Normally, these people are optimistic and full of enthusiasm but they can be disappointed easily and can become sulky if met with misunderstanding.

Examples of people born on the 3rd day are Franz Kafka (July 3, 1883) and a famous Russian poet Sergei Yesenin (October 3, 1895).

If the person was born on the 12th day of any month

The creative potential of Number Three is modified here by the overtones of One and Two, and Number One sounds more loudly as it is in the first place. It is important for such a person to express his or her Self and make sure that the others have noticed them. Those born on the 12th day often have an artistic talent. They find new ways and possibilities of self-expression and they pay more attention to details than a pure Number Three. In some unusual way, they manage to combine idealism with logic, and they know how to share with the other people their confidence and enthusiasm.

Examples of people born on the 12th day: Charles Darwin (February 12, 1809), Stanisław Lem (September 12, 1921), Justus von Liebig (May 12, 1803), Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809), and Luciano Pavarotti (October 12, 1935).

If the person was born on the 21st day of any month

These people are similar to those born on the 12th day, but the overtones of Number Two sound more loudly, so the opinion of the other people is more important, and more attention is paid to details and nuances. Still, the desire to be noticed, recognised and praised remains there. Of all those who have the Birthday Number Three, people who were born on the 21st day are the most perceptible and prone to listen to the opinion of the others. Their creativity can often be influenced by someone else's advice or opinion, and they prefer the creative endeavors that do not require verbal expression, like music or painting, although typical for Number Three ability for using words creatively is always present anyway.

Some examples of people born on the 21st day are: Ernest Hemingway (July 21, 1899), Alfred Nobel (October 21, 1833), Plácido Domingo (January 21st, 1941), and Christian Dior (January 21, 1905).

If the person was born on the 30th day of any month

Here, the creativity of Number Three rises to a higher social level, so people who were born on the 30th day strive to express themselves in the society, or to reflect the problems of the society in their creations. Typically, such people have plenty of energy and they are truly devoted to what they are doing; as a result, they are able to share their point of view with very many people.

A few examples of people who were born on the 30th day are Jaroslav Hašek (April 30, 1883), Ernest Rutherford (August 30, 1871), and Franklin D. Roosevelt (January 30, 1882).

Combination of Birthday Number Three with Different Life Path Numbers

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number One

According to Number One, people with such a numeric code follow their own path, and maybe they have discovered some new path. On the other hand, thanks to Number Three, whatever they are doing, is coming from the depth of their soul and is a result of creative self-expression. This combination of numbers is typical for innovators in creative endeavors, trendsetters in fashion, founders of new genres and styles. Even if such a person isn't related to any art, he or she prefers in any activity to be on the cutting edge, because everything that is new is very interesting for this person.

Examples of people with this combination of numbers are Christian Dior (January 21, 1905), Plácido Domingo (January 21st, 1941), Alfred Nobel (October 21, 1833), Ernest Hemingway (July 21, 1899), and Ernest Rutherford (August 30, 1871), the greatest physicist-experimentor of the 20th century.

They write about Ernest Rutherford that he was a large man with a loud voice, limitless energy and a noticeable lack of modesty. His colleagues mentioned Rutherford's extraordinary ability to always be at the cutting edge of scientific research.

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Two

The qualities of the Life Path Two are contemplation, emotional sensitivity, understanding of human relationships and beauty of the surrounding world, so those who were born with Birthday Number Three always have something to tell other people. People with this combination of numbers have a talent to simply and clearly express in words the minute nuances of their experiences and relationships between people. They are also able to formulate the rules ensuring justice and equality. Diplomacy and law are the natural spheres where people with this combination of numbers can find themselves.

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Three

Creative energy is so strong in people with this combination of numbers that nobody will ever dare to even think that they are not special, that they are similar to everybody else. In any age they manage to retain childish sincerity, directness, freshness of vision, and similar to that child from the tale about the emperor's new clothes can tell other people a lot of interesting an unexpected about seemingly usual things.

An example of such a person is Franz Kafka (July 3, 1883).

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Four

Seriousness and heaviness of the Life Path Four is in contradiction with joy and childish playfullness of Number Three, however this contradiction can result in a very substantial creative potential. People with such combination of numbers manage to do serious and difficult things playfully and happily. They are masters of nonstandard approaches, and instead of making a front assault on an obstacle will invent an original approach which will allow to resolve the problem in minimal time and with minimal efforts. Such people find satisfaction in solving puzzles and finding ways out of dead ends. On the other hand, their creative style can be complex, multilayered and difficult for other people's perception.

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Five

The Life Path of Number Five suggests interest in many different sides of life, multi-facetedness and tendency to appear in the very center of events, whereas Number Three helps to find in everything joy and amusement, as also tell about one's findings to the surrounding people. Polititians with such combination of numbers often win because they can imbue people with optimism and hope for better future, while actors with these numbers in their numeric code are quite universal and can find common language with pretty much every audience. These people often find themselves in the center of others' attention, and when they are speaking, everyone in the crowd feels like they are addressing him or her personally.

A couple of examples of such combination of numbers are Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1809) and Franklin D. Roosevelt (January 30, 1882).

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Six

Interest to the life of society, country, family that are typical for Number Six are combined here with unusual approach and fresh point of view of Number Three. A person with this combination of numbers is usually loved by everyone in his or her family and knows very well how to please every family member. If people with such a numeric code decide to become politicians, they will find plenty of old outmoded rules and regulations and will have a burning desire to change everything. In any case the combination of Six and Three gives a poweful creative potential and a youthfully strong desire to ensure that everything is good for everyone.

A bright example of such a person is Peter the Great (May 30, 1672, old style).

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Seven

Insight and analytical abilities of Number Seven ensure a constant stream of information for the stories of Number Three. People with this numeric code enjoy solving puzzles and telling other people what they've discovered. Quite often they have a technical or a scientific frame of mind and can be interested in subject that seem extremely complex to the other people. At the same time they manage to avoid becoming drags, they keep a fresh attitude and are sincerely interested in whatever they are doing.

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Eight

The Life Path of Number Eight is about managing people and large-scale projects, while Birthday Number Three makes the ability to use words, formulate thoughts, creative, non-standard approach to problems the main tools on this path. People with this combination of numbers strive to convince the others in their righteousness, so that they gave their support wholeheartedly and not just submitted to the power of authority. Authors writing about business and theoreticians of music canalso often have this combination of numbers.

Birthday Number Three, Life Path Number Nine

Both these numbers are related to creativity. The Path of Nine is associated with greatness of plans, idealism, sometimes a dream to make humanity happy, while Number Three gives sincerity, directness, ability to find common language with people. People with this combination of numbers can be successful missioners of some worldview, enthusiastic scientists or, if they choose to deal with art, some kind of dedication, even selflessness can be noticed in their creations: like, here, everything is for you, I don't need anything for myself.

Birthday Number Four

If the person was born on the 4th day of any month

Number Four gives people industriousness, integrity, responsibility for whatever was trusted to them. They like when things are kept in order and feel themselves uncomfortable in the middle of a chaos. They are trying to create some logical system on which they could rely. Another characteristic of Number Four is honesty, unwillingness to seek for workarounds even when the circumstances invite for that. A Number Four person is usually not in a hurry. He or she likes to do everything thoroughly, with great patience overcoming any arising obstacles. Some lack of flexibility often prevents such people from noticing simpler approaches, and as a result they put into work more energy than really necessary.

A couple of examples for this Birthday Number are Antonio Vivaldi (March 4, 1678) and Isaac Newton (January 4, 1643).

If the person was born on the 13th day of any month

Here the Birthday Number Four is modified by the presence of Number One, for which self-identity is important, as well as Number Three, for which interest and inspiration are more important than order and responsibility. Besides, Thirteen is one of the Karmic Numbers which I am going to discuss in a later lesson. As a result, people born on the 13th day do appreciate the requirements of Birthday Number Four but tend to act against them. They can develop a spectacular creative talent that manifests as if despite objective circumstances, but usually such people feel that they get much more than a fair share of difficulties in their lives. One possible way how the karmic nature of this number can manifest itself is that the person might spend the whole life looking for a vocation, a kind of work that he or she would enjoy and that could satisfy their ambitions - but whatever they find, they keep doubting whether this is really the best possible option or not.

If the person was born on the 22nd day of any month

Number two occurs twice here, and as a result people born on this day are not only working long and hard but also pay more attention to detail than a usual Number Four would do and in addition can establish strong, successful relationships with the other people. They are also resource savvy, and it is not surprising that with all the talents that it gives, 22 is considered to be a Master Number. In its most productive manifestation, this number helps people to build large scale structures, both material and social, or to do some other work where a prolonged organized effort of a large number of people is required. Not every Master Number has a chance to show itself though, and people who were born on the 22nd day can be very similar to those born on the 4th day, if only paying more attention to detail.

If the person was born on the 31st day of any month

Plus to the prevailing influence of Number Four, we can clearly see the creativity of Number Three, and also some of the ambition of Number One. The essence of people born on the 31st day can be expressed as "organized creativity": it is important for them to do something they really like, but at the same time they like exactly the kind of things that resonate well with Number Four, which means they have a clear structure and rhythm, and they require responsibility and prolonged patient efforts. A person born on this day will work a lot, but at the same time will find an opportunity for creativity.

Two examples here are Johann Sebastian Bach (March 31, 1685) and Franz Schubert (January 31, 1797). Schubert died in the age of 31 (!) but managed to write an unbelievable amount of music.

Combination of Birthday Number Four with Different Life Path Numbers

Birthday Number Four, Life Path Number One

The vocation of people with this combination of numbers is to find new paths, to be pioneers, to formulate new problems which nobody before them would ever dare to approach. But at the same time, such people not only generate ideas, they also take care of their practical implementation. They put a target and then persistently, sparing no effort, strive to reach it. They put severe requirements towards themselves and function as one's own strict judges, not allowing any weaknesses and requiring complete dedication.

An example of this combination of numbers is Isaac Newton (January 4, 1643).

Birthday Number Four, Life Path Number Two

The theme of this combination of numbers is tedious work - maybe a kind of work which is done not in one's own interests but to help the others, to practically implement someone else's ideas. People with this numeric code often serve as a reliable support and an ultimate hope for some other people. They take care of reserves, routine details and usually don't have a desire to be in the forefront but quietly work behind the scenes, allowing their partners to shine.

When both Life Path Number and Birthday Number are represented by the same number, there can be fewer steep turns and abrupt changes in the person's life. However, when a certain number is repeated several times in a person's numerological profile, it can sometimes show its reverse side instead, and this is especially true for Number Six. You will often notice that people with more than one Number Six, instead of caring about the others, only care about themselves, and instead of creating beauty, defiantly enjoy ugliness. Birthday Number Six, Life Path Number Nine

The globality of tasks that the person deals with is combined in this case with the desire to find beauty and harmony. Very often, this combination of numbers attracts a person to science, but it can also be typical for a devoted traveler, interested in the culture of different nations, or an actor or artist paying a lot of attention to folklore. Typically, such a person has strong creative abilities, but they can be expressed in a somewhat abstract way, not comprehensible for the public.

In some cases, Number Six can manifest as a desire to create one's own special club, or school, or some kind of organization. Those who were born on the 16th day differ from "pure" Number Seven in that they are much more attentive to the opinions of the surrounding people. Still, they prefer to work in solitude and typically will not follow anybody's advice.

An example of a person born on the 16th day is Madonna (August 16, 1958).

If the person was born on the 25th day of any month

For the Number Seven, it is generally typical to look at life through a magnifying glass, but here the added influence of Number Two turns magnifying glass into a microscope. An intense interest towards everything mysterious and incomprehensible for the others, is combined in these people with openness to the outside world (due to the influence of Number Five). As a result, their mysteriousness becomes evident for the others, and they acquire an aura of inscrutability and sexuality. Number Two in this combination can manifest itself both as a subtle understanding of relationships and a deep comprehension of art.

Some examples of people born on the 25th day are Pierre-Auguste Renoir (February 25, 1841), Allan Pinkerton (August 25, 1819), Pablo Picasso (October 25, 1881), Carlos Castaneda (December 25, 1925), and Antoni Gaudí (June 25, 1852).

Since people with this combination of numbers can see deeply into the problems of life, their creations can be often colored in sombre colors, and can have a bitter flavor. In many cases, they find it difficult to find understanding with the other people, just because not everyone is able to think with their intensity.

An example of a person with this combination of numbers is Charles Dickens (February 7, 1812).

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Four

This person works a lot to bring the surrounding chaos into a system, while intuition and analytical abilities of Number Seven help him or her not to lose the perspective. This pair of numbers offers an opportunity to thoroughly understand and sort out even the most complex of problems. There hardly exist obstacles which such a person wouldn't be able to remove, or work it around, or dig it under. They are like water that drips through stone.

A good example of such a combination of numbers is Marie Curie (November 7, 1867).

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Five

The Life Path of Number Five assumes the width of interests and usually some superficiality is typical for it. However, Number Seven digs deep, and even though a person with such a combination of numbers might hit less targets than the other Number Fives, he or she will become an expert, and usually in more than one area. Such people can surprise everyone: compared to the other erudites, they have an unusual depth of knoledge, while compared to other experts, they are unusually versatile. They are experimentors trying many different things and accumulating a multi-faceted experience, while they may be lacking stability and systematicity.

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Six

For those who follows the Life Path of Number Six, it is typical to have an integral, holistic perception of the world. Love, beauty, kindness are usuallynot easily compatible with logic and common sense but Birthday Number Seven still tries to take everything apart and check what's inside. This combination of numbers can be useful for a psychologist, politician, or sociologist. It might be not easy for such a person to have success in his or her own family life since they like to get to the heart of every issue and to tell truth even when it can only hurt a loved one.

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Seven

Double Seven is usually an evidence of a high intensity personality. Even when meeting this person for the first time, most people will recognize that he or she is special, different from the others. It should be noted though that sometimes, especially in youth, a person with strong presence of Number Seven can express him or herself paradoxically - trying to be like everyone, attempting to merge with the crowd. Even then though it won't be difficult to notice that these people as if have some additional depth in them. They understand a lot without words, and it is difficult to hide anything from them. Many of them have a talent to find hidden or lost objects. As a rule, such people devote their life to a single occupation and reach a significant success in it.

Examples of people with both Life Path and Birthday represented by Number Seven are Paul Gauguin (June 7, 1848), Vladimir Putin (October 7, 1952), Allan Pinkerton (August 25, 1819), and Joseph Louis Lagrange (January 25, 1736).

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Eight

Number Eight offers a person a rather complex path; he or she has to manage multi-faceted, complex problem and still receive a tangible, practical result. Number Seven doesn't do anything to simplify this path. Instead, it makes it even more narrow and intricate due to its striving for perfection and the fact that ideas that are simple and obvious for a Number Seven are usually incomprehensible for most other people. This combination of numbers would be useful for en engineer or an architect creating something massive and complex. When it belongs to an artist, his or here creations might be marked with a symbolic innuendo, heaviness and problematicity.

An example of a famous person who had this combination of numbers is Pablo Picasso (October 25, 1881).

Birthday Number Seven, Life Path Number Nine

A person with this combination of numbers is interested in the whole world - and not only our world but every existing world, the whole universe. However, the idealism of Number Nine meets in this person the meticulousness of Number Seven, so he or she doesn't take anything on faith but analyzes, criticizes, compares and tries to break every concept or idea. These people are of those who are ready to believe in God but if they are given a proof of His existence. They have a strong mind capable not only of analysis but also able to grasp the most abstract of concepts, so this kind of people are invaluable in science.

An example of a person with such a combination of Life Path Number and Birthday Number is Carlos Castaneda (December 25, 1925).

Birthday Number Eight

The further from Number One, the more complex, voluminous the characteristics of numbers become. In many numerology books, Number Eight is associated with abiities in business, talent in handling money. This is very appropriate in many cases, but I find that the nature of Number Eight is more complex. I believe so because I found that very many of talented actors have Number Eight prominent in their nmerological profiles. So I had to adjust my understanding of this number accordingly, and you'll see the result of this in the interpretations that follow.

If the person was born on the 8th day of any month

This person is ambitious, has plenty of energy and can to do really big things. In any case, the emotional life of the society will be a major theme of this person's life.

Birthday Number Eight, Life Path Number Seven

Usually Number Seven people are secretive and don't like to be exposed, but Birthday Number Eight makes a powerful combination with Life Path Number Seven. Number Seven makes such a person special, deep and insightful, while Number Eight gives him or her inner strength, confidence and ambitiousness, thanks to which these people not hide their special nature but stake on it instead.

Examples of such people are George Gershwin (September 26, 1898) and Emanuel Swedenborg (February 8, 1688).

Birthday Number Eight, Life Path Number Eight

This person has no doubts regarding his or her ability to influence the surrounding people and can use this ability easily and naturally. When Life Path and Birthday are represented by the same number, it often happens that a person has a good idea of what exactly he or she is going to do in life, and can achieve a noticeable success even in an early age. In this case, any kind of occupation can bring success if it is connected to a significant emotional or intellectual influence on the other people.

Birthday Number Eight, Life Path Number Nine

The Life Path of Nine gives a personal a global scope of interests, and the Birthday Number Eight acts in this case as a powerful amplifier. Number Eight gives enough energy not to be come superficial and aimless even in the most global of projects. Idealism, that is peculiar to Number Nine, is balanced in this combination of numbers by practicality and rationality of Number Eight, and as a result, a person can use even purely theoretical concepts in such a way that they start bringing a tangible benefit.

A typical example here is Carl Gustav Jung (July 26, 1875).

Birthday Number Nine

If the person was born on the 9th day of any month

The typical features of those born on the 9th day are the breadth of the soul, idealism, sometimes facile optimism, desire to ensure that everyone is happy, to make happy the whole humanity. Respectively, creative abilities are given to these people in a quantity that would be sufficient for everyone. God loves them, because if they give freely what they have, without a back thought, honestly and openly, they will for sure get their reward. That reward however can come from an unexpected direction - most probably not from those people whom this person made happy with his or her generosity.

Some examples of famous people born on the 9th day are Jean-Paul Belmondo (April 9, 1933), John Lennon (October 9, 1940), and Luigi Galvani (September 9, 1737).

If the person was born on the 18th day of any month

Everything what was said for people born on the 9th day will be true for these people too, but there is also an influence of numbers One and Eight that give more emphasis on the Self and on the personal power, which makes such a person more of a director than an actor. If such people begin to mostly consume and pile up resources for themselves, contradicting the true nature of Number Nine, their life can become difficult and full of disappointments. On the other hand, if the influences of One and Eight will be used as a foothold and an additional source of power, the achievements of this person can be very impressive.

If the person was born on the 27th day of any month

Global interests, attention to detail, desire to penetrate the veil of mystery - these qualities would be typical for a good scientist, and indeed, there are many scientists in between those who were born on the 27th day. However, there are even more artists who were born on this day, since Number Two gives artistic abilities. It should be noted though that due to the influence of Number Seven, the approach and the style typical for these people can be quite complex and comprehensible not for everyone.

Some examples of people born on the 27th day are Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (August 27, 1770), Johannes Kepler (December 27, 1571), and Niccolò Paganini (October 27, 1782).

On the other hand, the Birthday of Number Nine increases the scope of their interests, so their ideas and projects reach very far and produce an abundance of results. One and Nine are the furtherst from each other on the scale of numbers, and so their interaction can be a bit paradoxical: the more these people give to the others, the more they receive for themselves in terms of glogy, recognition, and fame.

A couple of examples for this combination of numbers are James Cook (October 27, 1728) and Niccolò Paganini (October 27, 1782).

This combination of numbers often gives some bright creative or artistic talent. The Path of Number Two leads to understanding of harmony and balance in the world while the influence of Birthday Number Nine evokes a desire to share this understanding with everyone. Also, the theme of their creativity is often related to far lands, other countries or religious subjects.

On the other hand, the Birthday Number Nine as if offers wood for a fire - ideas, images, creative abilities that help people with this combination of numbers to inspire the others, to put in the minds of the others the necessary motivations. A good numeric code for a politician or an actor, but it will also be useful for a scientist, for whom an inspiration of an idea (Nine) can help to deal with complex, multi-faceted problems (Eight).

An example of a celebrity with such a combination of numbers is Johannes Kepler (December 27, 1571).

Birthday Number Nine, Life Path Number Nine

Double Nine shows a romantic person, an idealist for whom the whole world, the whole universe is very interesting. He or she would be probably happy traveling non-stop around the world, but when this is not possible or not practical, they can spend their energy inspiring other people, sharing with them ideas and discoveries. Usually, when both the Life Path and the Birthday are represented by the same number, a person has a good idea about their true vocation from the very childhood. However, the potential of Number Nine is so high that it might require many years and several stages of understanding of where this path actually leads.

***

This was a very long lesson as I wanted to give you at least a brief idea of what each and every combination of Life Path Number and Birthday Number can mean. Now it is your turn to do some work!

I hope you already have a list of people whom you know and for whom you want to create with time a comprehensive numerological profile. The most important task of this lesson is to learn how to interpret two different numbers.

For now, we only know two parameters, but we will be adding more and more of them with almost every lesson. It is very important to have a clear idea of where each of these numbers belongs in the numerological portrait - otherwise instead of a rich and illuminating multidimensional portrait we'll get a confusing pile of bits and pieces of information.

For now, it is important to understand that both the Life Path Number and the Birthday Number describe the life of a person, but they describe it in two different ways. Life Path Number is like the ultimate goal of life, its major task. This is something that we might not do or remember every day, but we'd better have a general idea of where we are going, or we might lose our way.

On the other hand, Birthday Number describes the way how the person walks his or her life path. It is much closer to everyday realities, to what, and how, the person actually does in his or her life. I hope your personal study of the people you know, and the ideas I am offering you as a starting point, will help you to figure out the difference.

It is also useful to do mental exercises, like this: what's the difference between a person who has Life Path 1 and Birthday 2, and another person with Life Path 2 and Birthday 1. It might be easier to do this exercise with numbers from 1 to 5, and comparing neighbouring numbers, like 1 and 2, 2 and 3 and so on.

In the next lesson, we are going to learn about the special cases in numerological calculations: Master Numbers and Karmic Numbers.
